The different shapes of the shoulder area require the greatest attention in saddle construction. It is precisely here that the causes of poorly fitting saddles lie – saddles that can cause back problems and resistance over time. Through custom manufacturing, the horse receives a saddle that does not hinder its freedom of movement. The heart of every saddle is the matched saddle tree, perfectly fitted to both horse and rider.

We consider the type of horse: square or rectangular build. It is essential that the centre of balance of the saddle is aligned so that the sacral-seat axis of the rider acts in the area of the vertically positioned spinous processes. This requires that, regardless of seat size, the saddle length must be matched to the horse’s back.

We offer nine different seat sizes from 15/2 to 19/2 inches in three different seat depths. In addition, we offer individual special measurements to optimally serve every rider. The matched saddle tree is the centrepiece of every Hennig saddle.
